3x1 review

Hello, everyone! In this last post, I want to share with you three things that I loved about this ICT course! There are so many things that I learned overcoming the different challenges of this subject, but if I were to choose three of them, I would say that these are the three things I enjoyed the most! 1. At the beginning, I thought I would hate to  create a blog . Nonetheless, I grew to love it! I really enjoyed sharing my research with my classmates and I loved reading their posts as well. I learned very much from their posts! I think keeping a blog is like writing in a diary, but with the possibility to design it the way you want to, embedding videos and so many other awesome tools with everyone!  2. Learning how to turn flat activities into super learning missions ! I enjoyed this challenge because it made me think about ways in which I can turn real textbook activities into challenges that children need to overcome in order to reach their full potential, and that

Our first live online conference ever!

Hello everyone, I am so happy to be here and share with so much excitement the fact that we were able to participate in a live online conference on #moodlemooc10 . This online conference was an amazing opportunity created by Dr. Nellie Deutsch -- @nelliemuller   --   and, of course, our teacher Maria Jesus --  @mjgsm . We are so thankful to them, for such a unique opportunity.  Due to the lack of time, I was not able to share my thoughts and experiences with all the teachers that were connected from so many different countries like India, Australia, Canada, Italy, France and so many other countries. However, I did hear a lot of inspiring speeches from my classmates who were just amazing! So I can say that the 2 hours I spent listening to them were very inspiring and I honestly learned a lot. Now, I want to share with you some slides that we used in the live conference because, in order to prepare for our live conference, we had to prepare one slide that would support our spee

Assessing our collaborative project!

Hello fellow teachers, In today's post, I will share with you one important thing that is needed for the collaborative project to be complete. In my older posts, I was able to share with you some information about the importance of being able to make a fair analysis of the collaborative eProject you want to carry out in your class, as it will help you know if it's adequate for your specific group, as well as it can help you adapt or create your own collaborative eProject. As we move on to other posts, we have learned that the first step to creating an eProject is developing the prototype for your project. Furthermore, not only did we turn our eProject into a collaborative one , but we also learned how meaningful it is to create a digital metaphor that will help you advertise it. All the more, we learned to use so many digital tools in the process! Collaboration is a hot topic in every one of my posts, inasmuch as we decided to take a step forward and begin a thorough

From flat activities to super learning missions - Part 2

Welcome back everyone, To start with, I hope you learned a lot from the last post, and I really hope you got inspired to improve your teaching by transforming plain activities into wonderful missions. I also hope you can share your honest opinion about the missions I created for the first grade of primary, so cooperating with each other we can improve it!  As I previously promised, in this post I will share with you the second mission called Connecting with nature, which I published in a Digital Magazine created using an application called Jilster . Bellow, you can read the second part of the Living and non-living things project  magazine. If you hadn't seen the first part of the magazine, go see my previous post. Moreover, it is important to remind you that the magazine cannot be viewed with a phone, as it is not supported by such device. Please use the computer to read it.  This second magazine was created in order to show another mission that was created f

From flat activities to super learning missions - Part 1

Hello everyone, I am so happy to share with you, my new post! We have come so far and learned so much together. Now, I am going to show you how important it is to transform regular, plain and boring textbook activities into super learning missions!  This is a very important topic, for this reason, I created two posts, in each one of them sharing with you one flat activity turned into a super learning mission. Of course, this is the first one. Moving on, as I already mentioned, it is very important to know as a teacher how to adapt an activity from a textbook and turn it into a challenging mission from which children will be able to learn, besides the content and English, values, how to cooperate and research, and share their knowledge with everyone else.  For this purpose, and because there is so much to tell, I created two different Digital Magazines in which I will explain you in detail about the mission and the challenges included in it, and many other things that would&#

Partner Search for my Living and Non-living things project

Image
Welcome fellow teachers, Today I am so excited because I am going to share with you an awesome news! After I created and advertised my own eProject "Living and non-living things", I thought that in order to take a step forward would be useful to find a partner that would support me and with whose collaboration I could bring forth my project. It was hard to find a project in which my own project would fit! However, here is my good news! I found a project that I really love and inspired me so much while I looked through it! The partner I want to share my project with is a collaborative project called The 30 Goals Challenge !  According to it, teachers should innovate the way they are teaching by following simple steps that will transform your teaching! The best thing is that you can contribute with your own goal and then submit it on their page. On the right, you can find some of the goals that teachers gathered two years ago, which I retrieved from the official page

Turning your eProject into a Collaborative one!

Hello everyone, Did you enjoy creating your Open Educational Project? I hope you learned a lot from my last post!  Today, we are going to see how to collaborate with the world by sharing our project with other people. I am pretty sure you all enjoy to surf the net in search of motivating and inspiring projects that will help you deliver knowledge to your students, with enthusiasm, and in a meaningful way! Well, after this post you will be able to share your awesome and creative project with the world! This way many teachers will be able to make a good use of your project and ideas within different classes around the world!  Isn't this exciting? Moreover, we will also learn how to transform our project into a collaborative one. This means that we will have to make some changes in the prototype we have prepared, by creating meaningful activities through which children will be able to cooperate not only within the classroom but also out of the classroom! They will be able to c
